Fluxwood: Original Design, Authentic Values

Our Tenn Pendant is an original Fluxwood design, released in 2018.

Recently, we’ve seen remarkably similar timber linear pendants appear online, made locally and sold at lower prices. These products are not our fittings, and we have no affiliation with the makers.

Replica furniture and lighting continue to challenge Australian designers. Current intellectual property (IP) laws offer limited protection, and legal action can be complex and costly, particularly for independent studios like us. Meanwhile, imitation products continue to appear in the market, often undermining the value of original Australian design.

I launched Fluxwood in 2018 after years of industrial design study, hands-on making, and countless hours of prototyping. Every product represents my teams dedication to form, detail, and material integrity. Seeing similar designs appear elsewhere is disheartening for any small studio like us committed to originality and craftsmanship.

I share this to raise awareness, not to criticise. Before you buy, please research the brands you purchase from. Supporting authentic Australian design helps sustain the people, skills, and innovation that shape our creative community.
