Hannah & Co Design designed Kingfisher House as a highly considered residential project, centred on sustainability, craftsmanship and a refined use of natural materials.
The design achieves strong environmental performance while maintaining a timeless, elevated aesthetic. It moves beyond typical “eco” expressions toward a more resolved and enduring outcome. A palette of natural timbers, soft neutrals and layered textures creates a space that feels warm, cohesive and connected to its surroundings.
The kitchen balances tone and material through a considered palette. Blonde timber joinery, stone surfaces and subtle detailing work together to create a space that feels both light and grounded. Each element contributes to a unified and resolved outcome.
The Tenn Pendant in Spotted Gum anchors the kitchen above the island, introducing clean, architectural lines. Its understated form keeps the focus on materiality, while soft, directional light enhances both function and atmosphere.

“The Tenn pendant was the perfect fit… I wanted a very bespoke look… the detailing and finish is second to none. It really is a special piece in the space.”
With locally sourced materials and a focus on supporting Australian makers, the project reflects a broader commitment to sustainability, in performance, process and design intent.
